Robberies and Burglaries Abound in Prince William County Over Fourth of July Weekend

Armed Robbery – On July 5 at 4:02AM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 18075 Fraley Blvd. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. An employee of the store reported to police that an unknown masked man entered the business and approached the counter where the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded money. During the encounter, the suspect fired a round into the display case behind the counter before fleeing the store. The store was occupied by additional patrons at the time of the robbery, no injuries were reported. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing. The only suspect description is an unknown race male wearing all black clothing.

 

Armed Robbery – On July 3 at 2:23AM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 14820 Cloverdale Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. An employee of the store reported to police that an unknown masked man entered the store and walked around for a short time before approaching the counter. When the suspect approached the counter, he brandished a firearm at the employee and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot prior to police arriving at the location. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Suspect Description:

A black male, approximately 5’5”, about 150lbs., with a thin build

Last seen wearing a black neck gator, all black clothing, and carrying a firearm

 

Armed Robbery – On July 2 at 9:57AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the area of Hoffman Dr. and Hemingway Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) on July 1. The victim, a 22-year-old man, reported to police that he and an acquaintance were in the above area when they were approached by two unknown masked men. During the encounter, one of the suspects brandished a firearm towards the victim before demanding his property. The parties separated and the victim returned to his residence where he eventually disclosed the incident to a family member who contacted the police. A firearm and marijuana were reported missing. The only suspect description is two black males wearing all black clothing.

 

Strong-Arm Robbery – On July 5 at 12:08AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Kingswood Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 25-year-old man, reported to police that he confronted a group of unknown individuals setting off fireworks near the intersection of Foresthill Rd. and Doverhill Ct. During the encounter, a physical altercation ensued. When the victim returned to the residence on Kingswood Ct., a second altercation occurred when an acquaintance of the victim, a 21-year-old woman, confronted the individuals who followed the victim to the residence. During the altercation, the suspects struck and pushed both victims before taking the male victim’s phone. The parties eventually separated, and the suspects fled on foot prior to police arriving in the area. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Minor injuries were reported by the male victim.

The juvenile suspects included four black males and a white female with no additional descriptions.

A black male, between 40-50 years of age, wearing a dark-colored shirt with green writing, a red bandana, and sunglasses

 

Strong-Arm Robbery – On July 3 at 9:34PM, officers responded to the Todos Supermarket located at 13905 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the accused entered the store after being told the business was closed and pushed past the store’s security guard. When the accused disregarded being told he was trespassed, the security guard contacted the police. The accused then shopped briefly before attempting to check out. The accused then put the unpaid items into bags and began to walk towards the door where he was confronted by the security guard. The accused attempted to strike the security guard before pushing him out of the way and leaving the store with the merchandise. Responding officers located the accused in the parking lot and detained him without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Isaac Afriyie SARPONG, was arrested.
