Supervisor Vega Helps Facilitate Never Forget Garden Plaque at Freedom Park

At the request of Marie Vayer, the head of the local Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter, Supervisor Vega worked with the county to find a place for the planting of a Never Forget Garden Plaque located at the McCoart complex’s Freedom Park.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Never Forget Garden is a nationwide invitation to all Americans and freedom loving people to plant gardens as a visual way to represent America’s unwavering commitment to our sacred duty to recognize, remember, and honor our veterans and their families now and for many years to come.

Special thanks to the local Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter, Facilities and Fleet Management, Parks and Recreation, and the County Archaeologist by making the ceremony and planting of the garden and plaque a reality!
