Supervisor Vega Participates in Discussion with Human Trafficking Non-Profit

On July 17th, Supervisor Vega participated in a discussion moderated by Anne Basham, CEO of Anti-Trafficking International.

Anti-Trafficking International (ATI), helps to free people around the world from the scourge of modern day slavery. As a member of law enforcement, Supervisor Vega saw the horrors first-hand of kidnapped individuals, mainly adolescents, sold into sexual slavery right here in Prince William County. The majority of these young people are brought across the open southern border for this sole purpose and shipped to cities and counties around the country.

ATI offers specially targeted programs that helps to stop human trafficking before it starts. For more on ATI and the vital services they provide or to get involved in the fight against human trafficking please visit their website at https://www.preventht.org/.
