An 85 year old Dale City man was arrested for shooting another man, 63, at his home following a domestic dispute on May 5th. Donald Lee Dye, 85, of the Birchdale neighborhood was charged with one count of malicious wounding and one count of using a firearm in commission of a felony. Officers were called to the home around 8:30pm and found the victim suffering from a gun shot wound. The officers were able to provide first aid to the victim until rescue personnel arrived. Fortunately, the wound was not fatal.
According to police, an argument broke out and the victim began damaging things in the accused’s home. Officers believe that Dye fired a single round at the victim.
