Board Receives Joint Mobility Report Update

On September 21st, Prince William Transportation Director, Rick Canizales, briefed the Board on county transportation projects, including several in the Coles District.

The Brentsville Road Interchange (page 18) will likely be coming before the Board for a vote in December.

A $15 million dollar contract has been negotiated for a design contract with WSP USA for the Route 28 Bypass. The Board will be asked to approve the contract at its October 19th meeting.

The Old Centreville Road Pedestrian and Lane Improvements are projected to be finished by summer of 2022.

In addition, several warranted streetlights were installed and speed studies have been conducted at various locations within the district.
