It’s a good thing in sports any time you end your season on a winning streak.

On June 23rd, the Hylton High School boys soccer team ended their season on an eleven game winning streak and a state championship to boot.

Fresh off an 4-3 overtime thriller which propelled them into the championship game, the Bulldogs defeated Yorktown High School 3-2 in front of their home fans to take home the Class 6 State Title. It was their first and Prince William County’s first boys state soccer championship since 1999.

Prince William County and the Coles District was well represented in boys soccer this season. In order to make it to the state semi-finals, Hylton battled it out against Colgan High School in a hard fought 1-0 game to claim the regional championship.
