Aggravated Sexual Battery – On July 9, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at Natural Elements Massage located at 12726 Director’s Lp. in Woodbridge (22191) on June 30. The investigation revealed that an employee of business, identified as the accused, was in a massage session with the victim, identified as a 30-year-old woman, when he inappropriately touched her. Later in the session, the accused sexually assaulted the victim. The victim quickly left the business and contacted the police. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as James Robert THOMAS III, was arrested.

Pineda Martinez

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On July 5 at 8:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17200 block of Wexford Lp. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic. When officers attempted to make contact at the door, a light from a laser was observed shining on the officers. After a brief time, the accused exited the home and was detained without incident. The investigation revealed that during a verbal altercation, the victim, identified as an 11-year-old girl, was struck, and forcefully grabbed by the accused. At one point during the altercation, the accused threw a knife at the victim, which she was able to avoid, before the parties separated. The accused then began throwing household objects at another family member, a 42-year-old woman, before preventing her from leaving the bathroom. The accused also grabbed the family member’s phone when she attempted to call emergency services. Eventually, the parties separated, and the police were contacted. The juvenile victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Miguel Angel PINEDA MARTINEZ, was arrested. While escorting the accused to a police vehicle, the accused began to actively resist and refused officers commands. After a brief struggle, the accused was re-secured without further incident.

Abduction | Domestic Related – On July 11 at 10:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Oakwood Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 49-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. On more than one occasion during the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s arms and prevented her from leaving. The accused also struck the victim before another family member intervened and the parties separated. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Patrick MCNEAL, was arrested.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On July 10 at 4:30AM, officers responded to the 4000 block of Mammoth Cave Lp. in Dumfries (22172) to investigate an unknown man refusing to leave the caller’s front porch. The investigation revealed that the accused was walking in the above area when he fired multiple rounds, two of which struck an unoccupied residence. The accused continued walking and was located by responding officers outside of a residence in the 4100 block of La Mauricie Lp. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. While investigating, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and detained him. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Dominic Corey TUCKER, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm *ARREST – On July 14, the suspect sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) on May 13, was arrested. The suspect, Victor Abraham CORNEJO, was taken into custody without incident.

Burglary While Armed – On July 14 at 1:37PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3000 block of Acorn Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The investigation revealed that

the victim, a 16-year-old male juvenile, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in an altercation on social media which turned physical when the accused went to the above location where the two mutually fought. Eventually the accused fled the area, and returned a short time later, with an unknown male suspect. The two suspects then entered the victim’s home without permission where they both brandished firearms towards the victim and two family members before damaging a door. The two suspects then fled the residence prior to police arriving in the area. While investigating, officers located the accused nearby and took him into custody without incident. No shots were fired during the incident and no injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Emiliano Ismael REYNOSO Jr., was arrested. The case remains active as officers attempt to identify the other suspect involved in the incident.

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Attempted Rape – On July 14, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Manassas (20109) area of Prince William County between August 2016 and August 2020. The investigation revealed that the female victim, who was between 8-11 years of age at the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by the accused, identified as an acquaintance, on more than one occasion during the above timeframe. The incident was recently reported to police prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Juan Pofirio BONILLA MATUTE, was arrested.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault and Battery – On July 8 at 11:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Anderson Rd. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 58-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw

a fan at the victim before striking her. The victim was able to separate from the accused and when she attempted to contact the police, the accused grabbed her phone, and prevented her from using it. The victim then ran to a neighbor’s residence and contacted the police. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Richard A NEWMAN, was arrested.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On July 21 at 7:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11800 block of Belmont Farm Ln. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The investigation revealed that the accused and a family member were involved in an altercation when the victim, a 41-year-old male family member, intervened. The accused then retrieved a knife and swung it several times, striking the victim. After a brief struggle the parties separated, and the accused went outside where he encountered officers as they arrived at the location. The victim and the accused reported minor injuries that were sustained during the encounter. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mohammad Firoz MAHMUD, was arrested.

Commercial Burglary – On July 20 at 9:53PM, officers responded to the American Auto Salvage located at 14210 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred on July 19 at approximately 2:14AM. Video surveillance footage revealed that two unknown men entered the business through the side door which was found damaged. While inside, they took several keys to vehicles in the lot before leaving in a Chevrolet Silverado. On the morning of July 20, an employee of the salvage business observed the Silverado at a nearby business and when he confronted them, the suspects drove to the area of Potomac Mills Rd. where they fled on foot. The employee contacted the police and while canvassing the area, officers located the two occupants of the vehicle, identified as Justin Amond DUNMORE and Harrison R. BILLINGSLY, who were then taken into custody. While investigating, officers determined that DUNMORE was also involved in the above-mentioned burglary. During a search incident to arrest, BILLINGSLY, was found in possession of a controlled substance. The case remains active as officers attempt to identify the second suspect involved in the burglary.

Brandishing of a Firearm | Road Rage Related – On July 16 at 6:21PM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred in the area of Spriggs Rd. and Lindendale Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that day. The victims, a 57-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman, reported to police that while driving on Minnieville Rd. a white SUV quickly approached them from behind. Both vehicles then turned onto Spriggs Rd. and, as they approached the intersection with Lindendale Rd., the SUV pulled in front of them and stopped. The driver of the SUV then got out of the vehicle with a firearm and began approaching the victim’s vehicle before the victim quickly drove out of the area. At no time was any contact made between the suspect and the victims, nor were any shots fired.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 30, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Woodbridge (22193) area of Prince William County between November 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. The investigation revealed that victim, who was 7 years of age at the time of the offense, was alone in a room when she was approached from behind by an acquaintance, identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused inappropriately touched the victim. The victim recently disclosed the incident to a family member who contacted the police. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as James Archelaus GOUGH. On June 30, the accused was located and taken into custody by members of the Miami Dade County Police Department.

Cannady Jr

Strong-Armed Robbery – On July 16 at 8:13PM, officers responded to the 3900 block of Fettler Park Dr. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery. The victim, an 18-year-old man, reported to police that while parked in the parking lot of the above area, an unknown man knocked on the window of his vehicle, while an unknown woman stood in front of his vehicle. The man demanded money from the victim and, when the victim declined, the suspect opened the driver’s door and physically escorted the victim to a nearby ATM. After retrieving money from the ATM, the suspect then escorted the victim back to his vehicle. Before leaving the area, the suspect provided the victim with false identifying information. No injuries were reported. On July 18, while investigating a separate unrelated incident in the 17100 block of Old Stage Rd., officers located a man who was determined to be the suspect in the previously reported robbery. Following the investigation, the suspect, identified as Anthony Wayne CANNADY Jr., was arrested. While conducting a search incident to arrest, the accused was found in possession of a suspected controlled substance.

Rape – On July 15, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 8900 block of Brewer Creek Pl. in Manassas (20109) sometime between 9:00PM on June 26 and 4:00AM on June 27. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 29-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were at the above location when the victim fell asleep and was sexually assaulted by the accused. When the victim woke later that morning, she immediately left the residence and went to an area hospital. Eventually, the victim contacted the police, prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Morris Woodrow HARRIS, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 20 at 3:36PM, officers responded to the Masons Keepe Apartments located in the 10200 block of Launch Cl. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. A resident reported to police that while inside his apartment, he heard a gunshot just before a hole appeared in his kitchen wall. The investigation revealed that the accused was handling a firearm in the apartment when he discharged the weapon, firing a round through the wall into the neighboring apartment. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Carter Mitchell SHEPARD, was arrested.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On July 22 at 3:42PM, officers responded to a residence in the Dumfries (22026) area of Prince William County to investigate a sexual assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 12-year-old girl, was inside a room when a family member, identified as the accused, entered, grabbed the victim, and prevented her from leaving the room. During the encounter, the accused sexually assaulted the victim before she was able to separate herself from him. The victim immediately reported the incident to a family member who contacted the police. The suspect fled the residence prior to police arriving at the location. Detectives with the Special Victims Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Miguel Angel SALGADO MENDOZA, who was located later that evening and taken into custody.

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 26 at 11:09PM, officers responded to the Summertree Condominiums located in the 7500 block of Margate Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 45-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim into a wall before grabbing the victim’s throat. Eventually the parties separated, and the accused fled the area prior to police arriving at the location. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused, identified as Jorge PEREZ. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Felony Child Neglect – On July 21 at 4:07PM, while patrolling in the 10800 block of Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas (20109), officers located a vehicle in a parking lot of a commercial business. Officers observed the occupants consuming suspected illegal narcotics. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, officers determined they were in possession of illegal controlled substances. While investigating, officers also determined that the occupants were caring for a 3-year-old girl who was also located inside the vehicle. The child was unharmed and turned over to a family member. Following the investigation, the occupants of the vehicle, identified as Ashley Nicole ROBLES and Tashara Janae IVERY, were arrested.

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 26 at 4:00PM, officers patrolling in the area of Bannerwood Dr. and Asheville St. in Manassas (20109) observed a man kicking garbage cans full of trash into the street. When officers attempted to make contact with the man, he verbally threatened the officers and made fighting gestures towards the officers before fleeing on foot. The officers located the man, later identified as the accused, a short distance away and took him into custody without further incident. While in handcuffs, the accused became agitated before kicking an officer. After a brief struggle, the accused was re-secured without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kentra Denaille SCOTT, was arrested.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On July 27 at 11:45AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16600 block of Space More Cl. Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 59-year-old man, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and began chasing the victim. At one point, the accused threw the knife towards the victim, who was not struck. When the victim returned to the residence, the accused retrieved a pair of scissors and began to approach the victim. At that point, the victim left the residence in a vehicle and contacted the police. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Aziz Rehman OSMANI, was arrested.

Miller

Brandishing of a Firearm – On July 27 at 8:45PM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred in the 15200 block of Cloverdale Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that evening. The victim, a 23-year-old man, reported to police that while in the above area, he observed a verbal altercation between the unknown occupants of two vehicles. The victim intervened and shortly after the parties separated without further incident. As the victim was walking away, he was approached from behind by an unknown man, later identified as the accused. A verbal altercation ensued before escalating when the accused brandished a firearm towards the victim. After a short time, one of the vehicles returned and the accused left the area. No injuries were reported. During the investigation, officers were able to identify the accused as Sheldon Trumaine MILLER, who was in police custody for an unrelated incident. Following the investigation, MILLER, was charged.

Burglary While Armed – On July 27 at 11:30PM, officers responded to the River Oak Apartments located in the 16700 block of Diamondleaf Oak Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a home invasion. A resident of an apartment reported to police that multiple unknown individuals forced their way into the apartment while brandishing firearms. During the encounter, the suspects ransacked the apartment before taking money and a cell phone from the occupants. The suspects fled on foot prior to police arriving at the location. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. No injuries were reported. While investigating, officers located suspected marijuana and packaging material inside the apartment and subsequently charged the resident with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. At this time, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 3 at 7:51PM, officers responded to the 6300 block of Oakland Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a 9-1-1 hung-up. When officers arrived, they located the caller, later identified as the accused. During the encounter, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and wanted on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. When officers attempted to take the accused into custody, she actively resisted and kicked an officer. The officers were not injured. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Amarilys FAMILIA-SANCHEZ, was arrested.

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related – On August 3 at 11:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Honey Grove Trl in Nokesville (20191) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 40-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused repeatedly struck the victim before physically preventing her from leaving a room inside the home. At one point, the accused threw the victim onto a bed before grabbing her neck and continuing the assault. When the victim attempted to call 9-1-1, the accused took her phone and broke it preventing her from doing so. The parties eventually separated, and the accused fled the area. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jose Duque RIVERA BORJA. The accused was subsequently arrested without incident on August 4.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – Officers identified the suspect sought in connection to the shots fired call that was reported to have occurred at the 90 Degrees Sports Bar located at 8509 Rixlew Ln. in Manassas (20109) on June 27. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Raul DELEON. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.

Ruiz-Ramirez

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Robbery | Strangulation – On August 6 at 12:08AM, officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7500 block of Wedgewood Dr in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as a 26-year-old man, and an unknown man, later identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. The two men originally met the night prior where the accused agreed to hold the victim’s bike at the above residence. When the victim went to retrieve the bike, the argument ensued. At one point, the accused retrieved a large knife and struck the victim several times causing a severe laceration to the victim’s arm. During the altercation, the accused also placed the victim in a chokehold before demanding the victim’s property. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and run to his residence where police were contacted. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The accused was not located. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Miguel Armando RUIZ-RAMIREZ. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On August 5 at 4:02PM, detectives with the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a home located in the Woodbridge (22191) area of Prince William County earlier that afternoon. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 16-year-old female juvenile, was lying on her bed when a family member, identified as the accused, entered the room. During the encounter, the accused inappropriately touched the victim. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Elmer Francisco GOMEZ BENITEZ, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 8 at 5:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 block of Lindy Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a fight with weapons. The investigation revealed that the homeowner, identified as the accused, was involved in a verbal altercation with two men he hired to perform work at the residence. At one point, the accused entered his residence where he retrieved a firearm before going back outside and firing a round into the air. The accused then reentered the home and contacted police to report a fight. Officers located a shell casing at the scene. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jatinderpal Singh AUJLA, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 5 at 1:55PM, officers responded to Cloverdale Community Park located at 15150 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived at the park, no individuals were located. A short time later, a man, later identified as the accused, arrived at the Garfield Police Station to report his involvement in the incident. The accused reported to police that he recently purchased a handgun and fired a round into the ground to test the weapon. The accused was in a woodline within the park and adjacent to a residential neighborhood when the weapon was fired. No injuries or property damage were reported. The accused left the park prior to police arriving in the area. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Derek Kofi ANNAN, was arrested.
