Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related – On June 3 at 9:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16700 block of Mill Station Way in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 24-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. When the victim fled the home, the accused confronted her in the street where he grabbed and struck her several times. On several occasions, the victim attempted to separate from the accused, who continuously pushed her down and held onto her while striking her repeatedly. The accused then dragged the victim across the road before he eventually fled the area. The victim contacted the police and was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. While investigating, officers determined that on June 2, an additional altercation occurred between the victim and the accused. The investigation into the second incident revealed that the accused struck the victim before grabbing her throat. When the accused finally let go of the victim, he prevented her from leaving the room. Following the investigation into both incidents, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Davante Shamar HOWARD. On June 4, the accused was located in the Dumfries area and taken into custody without incident. While taking the accused into custody, he was found in possession of suspected illegal narcotics.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 14 at 12:17AM, officers responded to the 7300 block of Stream Walk Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that while in the parking lot of the above area, he heard the sound of gunfire before observing an unknown man, later identified as the accused, get into a vehicle, and flee the area. While investigating, officers observed the vehicle in a nearby parking lot and made contact with the accused. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Donnell Equale HILL, was arrested.

Rodriguez

Commercial Burglary – On June 13 at 5:50AM, officers responded to the Skate and Fun Zone located at 7878 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that he was alerted to an alarm activation and viewed video surveillance footage that revealed an unknown individual, later identified as the accused, inside the business. When the accused attempted to leave the business, he was confronted by the officers and immediately retreated into the business. After a short search of the business, officers located the accused and took him into custody without incident. The investigation revealed that the accused forced entry into the business through the back door. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Erick Hernandez RODRIGUEZ, was arrested.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On June 10 at 3:00PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 18000 block of Joplin

Garcia

Rd. in Triangle (22172) on the morning of June 9. The victim, a 35- year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated while inside their parked vehicle. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim multiple times before kneeling on her head. Eventually, the accused separated from the victim and left in the vehicle. The victim eventually reported the incident to police prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as David Anthony GARCIA. Later that day, while in the Dumfries area, officers located GARCIA’s vehicle. While investigating, officers determined the vehicle was previously reported stolen out of another jurisdiction and there were suspected illegal narcotics inside. Shortly after, GARCIA was located and taken into custody without incident.

Abduction *ARREST – On June 12, the suspect sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 17600 block of Marsh Harbor Ln. in Dumfries (22026) on March 17, was arrested. The suspect, Michael Alexander HOWARD, was taken into custody without incident.

Abduction – On March 17 at 2:22AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17600 block of Marsh Harbor Ln. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when they arrived at the above location earlier that evening. While outside of the residence, the victim attempted to walk away from the accused before he tackled her. Both parties then entered the residence and went into the accused’s room. When the victim tried to leave the room, the accused struck her, pushed her onto the bed and blocked the door to prevent her from leaving. Eventually, another resident of the home intervened and the victim was able to leave the room. The victim then fled the residence towards the shopping center where an officer was flagged down. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Michael Alexander HOWARD.

Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

 

Whitehead

Strangulation | Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On June 18 at 9:39AM, officers responded to the Shenandoah Station Apartments located in the 19300 block of Belleau Wood Dr. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 41- year-old woman, reported to police that while in the parking lot of the above area, she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the accused struck the victim. During the altercation, the accused assaulted the victim before grabbing her throat. The parties eventually separated when another family member intervened. As both parties continued to argue, the victim stated she was going to call the police and took out her phone. At that point, the accused took her phone and threw it away from her. When the victim retrieved her phone and attempted to contact the police again, the accused took her phone a second time and again threw it away from her before getting into his vehicle. As the accused drove out of the parking lot, he attempted to strike both the victim and their 10-year-old daughter with his car. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Barry Demon WHITEHEAD, was located in the Triangle area, and arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 20 at 9:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Kraft Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that the accused and a family member were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a firearm before exiting the home and firing more than one round into the air. While investigating, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and took him into custody. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Rene Alberto MEJIA, was arrested.

Abduction | Domestic Related *ARREST – On June 16, the suspect sought in connection to the domestic abduction that was reported to have occurred in the 1500 block of Tyler Cl. in Woodbridge (22191) on February 6, was arrested. The suspect, Melvin Romell SALES, was located by members of the Alexandria Police Department and taken into custody.

Abduction | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On February 14 at 2:49PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at the Woodbridge Forest Apartments located in the 1500 block of Tyler Cl. in Woodbridge (22191) on the evening of February 6. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim as she attempted to leave the apartment and pushed her into the bedroom. The accused then prevented the victim from leaving the apartment and took her phone. On the morning of February 8, the victim was able to leave the apartment and went to a friends residence. The victim eventually contacted the police prompting the investigation. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, on February 14, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Melvin Romell SALES. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

 

Morris

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 21 at 12:30PM, officers responded to investigate a destruction of property that was reported to have occurred at the Maplewood Park Apartments located in the 8100 block of Peakwood Ct. in Manassas (20111) between 1:00AM and 1:30AM. A resident of an apartment reported to police that during the above timeframe they heard a loud noise from a nearby apartment. Later that morning, the residents observed a hole in their kitchen ceiling and a bullet fragment along with debris on the floor. The investigation revealed that an occupant of the upstairs apartment, later identified as the accused, was handling a firearm when a round was discharged. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. The accused left the apartment prior to the police being contacted. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused, identified as Isaac

MORRIS. On June 24, the accused was located and taken into custody without incident.

Wheeler

Shooting Investigation – On June 25 at 8:32PM, officers responded to Delaware Dr. near Horizon Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 26-year-old man, and a group of individuals were in the above area, when an acquaintance, identified as the accused, approached them brandishing a firearm. One of the individuals confronted the accused, and a brief struggle over the firearm ensued. When the accused regained control of the firearm he fired several shots, one of which struck the victim. The accused fled the area on foot prior to police arriving at the location. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Khari Jakai WHEELER. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Aziz

Abduction | Brandishing of a Firearm – On June 26 at 7:46AM, officers responded to the 3200 block of Ridgeview Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an abduction. The victim, a 26-year-old woman, reported to police that while in the above area, she was approached by an acquaintance, identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused grabbed her arm, demanding she leave with him and then threatened her when she refused. The victim was inside the vehicle for a short time and when she attempted to leave, the accused brandished a firearm towards her. The victim got back into the vehicle and the two drove out of the area. At one point, the victim was able to contact the police without the accused knowing. Eventually the accused drove back to the above area where police located them. The parties were separated, and the accused was detained without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mohd Farhad AZIZ, was arrested.

Malicious Wounding – On June 28 at 3:00PM, officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at the Oasis Montclair Apartments located in the 4000 block of Middleton Lp. in Dumfries (22025) on June 24. The victim, a 59-year-old man, reported to police that he and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim before leaving the area. A short time later, an acquaintance located the victim unconscious in the above area and contacted emergency services. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jacob Sax CONTEH Jr., was arrested.

Chavarria

Abduction | Burglary – On May 26 at 10:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9200 block of Brentsville Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 21-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old male acquaintance were inside the home when they observed a second acquaintance, identified as the accused, drive into the driveway. The victim locked the doors however, the accused entered her home without permission. Once inside, the accused damaged an interior door and a wall while trying to locate the male victim. Once the accused located the male victim, he prevented him from leaving the room and a physical altercation ensued. Eventually the male victim was able to separate himself from the accused and left the residence. A family member intervened and the accused left prior to police arrival. The male victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Edwin Noe CHAVARRIA, was located in the Woodbridge area and arrested.

Escobar Castedo

Stalking – On May 29 at 10:30PM, officers responded to the Point at Manassas Apartments located in the 11200 block of Chatterly Lp. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a stalking. The victim, a 23-year-old woman, reported to police that she was being harassed and stalked by her car insurance agent, later identified as the accused. The investigation revealed that between May 10 and May 29, the accused used his position as the victim’s new car insurance agent, to solicit her for a romantic relationship. When the victim declined, the accused continued to contact the victim, sent her inappropriate photos, and left items on the victim’s vehicle for her. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Eduardo ESCOBAR CASTEDO, was located in Manassas and arrested.
