Abduction | Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle – On August 6 at 9:47PM, officers responded to investigate an alleged abduction that was reported to have occurred in the area of Westminster Ln and Worchester Dr in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed that victims, identified as a 34-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were in the process of moving to a new residence. The victims reported to police that a man, who the victims reportedly did not know, was assisting them with the move. While the victims and the man were loading boxes into a U-Haul, the man got into the vehicle and drove to the area of Haddock Rd and Hillendale Dr where he then exited the vehicle and walked away. At the time, the 19-year-old victim was in the vehicle and reported to police that he did not feel free to exit the vehicle due to the man driving recklessly. After the man exited the vehicle, the victim drove back to the original location where police were contacted. No injuries were reported, and no threats were made to either victim or weapons displayed by the man. During the investigation, the victims became uncooperative with police. This incident does not appear to be random.

Brandishing of a Firearm | Road Rage – On August 12 at 1:19PM, officers responded the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Wayside Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a road rage incident. The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as a 45-year-old man, was driving in the area above when the driver of an unknown dark-colored van stopped their vehicle. At one point, the other driver exited their vehicle and the victim drove off. As the victim was driving away, he observed the other driver walk back to their vehicle and retrieve a handgun. The driver was seen waving the firearm in the air as the victim left the area. No injuries were reported, and no further contact was made between the victim and the other driver.

Brandishing of a Firearm – On August 10 at 7:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5500 block of Shadybrook Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a brandishing. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, reported to police that she ordered food through a delivery app. After ordering the food, the victim messaged the driver to check on the delivery status. When the food arrived, the bag was not properly sealed, and the victim refused to accept the order. A verbal altercation ensued between the victim and the driver. At one point during the argument, the driver walked back to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun. The driver exchanged words with the victim before getting into his vehicle, described as a black Jeep with Maryland license plates, and leaving the area. The victim was not injured, and no physical contact was made between the victim or the driver. The investigation continues as officers attempt to identify the driver.

Johnson

Robbery By Force – On August 11 at 3:17PM, officers responded to the Nordstrom Rack located at Potomac Mills, 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192), to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 34-year-old woman, finished work at the store and was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot when she encountered two unknown men. The men chased the victim to an employee door of the business where they caught up to her. During the encounter, one of the men, later identified as Marcus Aaron JOHNSON, forcibly took the victim’s purse while making threats he would harm her. The second suspect, later identified as Harrison Benjamin HUNTER, was standing nearby and told the victim to comply with JOHNSON. A store loss prevention officer witnessed the incident on store surveillance and intervened while a second store employee called police. Officers arrived in the area and located both suspects who were detained without incident. During a search, JOHNSON was found in possession of a large folding knife. The victim sustained a minor injury to her hand. Following the investigation, both suspects, were arrested.

Malicious Wounding – On August 14 at 8:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Tamarack Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 27-year-old man, reported to police that he and a co-worker, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused closed a vehicle door on the victim’s head before fleeing on foot. Additional coworkers contacted the police. The accused returned to the area when officers arrived at the location and was detained. The victim was transported to an area hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Selvin CORRALES-ALVARADO, was arrested.

Owusu

Strong-Armed Robbery – On August 14 at 5:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18600 block of Amidon Ave. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 43-year-old man, reported to police that while at the above residence, an acquaintance, identified as the accused, struck the victim before taking his property. As the accused fled the area in his vehicle, he struck an unoccupied vehicle that was parked on the side of the street. During a canvass of the area, officers observed the vehicle traveling on Dumfries Rd. and conducted a vehicle stop and identified the driver as the accused who was taken him into custody without incident. The victim reported minor injuries. While searching the accused incident to arrest, suspected illegal narcotics and the victim’s property were located in his possession. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jeffrey OWUSU, was arrested.

Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On August 16, the suspect sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred at Woodbridge High School located at 3001 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) on August 7, was arrested. The suspect, Justin Brian TRENT, was located in Montgomery County, MD and taken into custody by members of the Maryland State Police.

Abduction | Domestic Related *ARREST – On August 17, the suspect sought in connection to the domestic assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1600 block of Maryland Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that morning, was arrested. The suspect, Jimi Argedis SALGADO, was taken into custody without incident in the Woodbridge area.

Malicious Wounding – On August 15 at 6:39PM, officers responded to the County Center Crossing Apartments located in the 7000 block of Lakota Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30-year-old man, reported to police that a verbal altercation escalated when an acquaintance, identified as the accused, attempted to strike the victim with a glass bottle. During the encounter, the accused struck and kicked the victim before the parties briefly separated. The accused then retrieved a pair of scissors and stabbed the victim. Upon arrival officers separated the parties and detained the accused without further incident. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Zanai Nahtae TORNEY, was arrested.

Bautista-Cerrano

Malicious Wounding – On August 15 at 6:04AM, officers responded to the 2100 block of Opitz Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that while in the parking lot of the above location, the victim, a 23-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with a tire iron. Additional acquaintances intervened and the parties separated. The accused initially ran from the location and then returned when officers arrived at the parking lot. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Wilson BAUTISTA CERRANO, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 16 at 6:35PM, officers responded to Rosa Parks Elementary School located at 13446 Princedale Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that a small group of people were in the parking lot of the school when shots were fired. One individual from the group fled the area in an older model dark-colored sedan, while two other individuals fled on foot. No injuries or property damage were reported. Shell casings were located in the parking lot and collected by officers.

The suspects were described as black males.

 

Commercial Burglary – On August 17 at 12:48PM, officers responded to the Super Suds located at 14328 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that when an employee arrived earlier that day, they observed damage to an interior office door. Video surveillance footage revealed that at approximately 11:27AM, an unknown man forced entry into the business and then into an office. The suspect is seen taking money before fleeing on foot.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On August 17 at 10:01PM, officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1200 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The victim, a 34-year-old man, reported to police that he and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation when the accused retrieved a knife and began destroying his property. An altercation ensued where the victim was cut by the knife. When the accused continued to pursue the victim with the knife, the victim was able to separate from her and contacted the police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Eden FESAHAYE, was arrested.

Duren Jr

Attempted Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 18 at 12:29PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Rora Moss Pl. in Bristow (20136) to investigate an assault. Upon arrival, officers observed a man being detained by a group of other individuals. Officers intervened and determined the man, later identified as the accused, was attempting to harm himself. When officers went to detain the accused, he actively resisted and refused to follow officer’s commands. During the encounter, the accused grabbed an officer’s hand and attempted to bite it. The officer was able to avoid being bit and after a brief struggle the accused was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported by the officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Christopher DUREN Jr., was arrested.

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On August 20 at 8:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17300 Hot Springs Way in Dumfries (22172) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 34-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and attempted to cut the victim. The victim was able to avoid being cut before the accused grabbed her neck. Eventually the parties separated, and the accused left the residence. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jesus Antonio PEREZ, was arrested.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On August 20 at 11:16AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Dumfries (22026) area of Prince William County between June 9 and August 14. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 10-year-old girl, was inappropriately touched by a family member, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion during the above timeframe. The victim recently disclosed the incidents to a separate family member who contacted the police. On August 21, following the investigation, the accused, identified as Eric Donovan SCOTT, was arrested.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On August 23 at 8:30AM, officers responded to the Assembly Manassas Apartments located in the 10400 block of Butterfield St. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a destruction of property. A resident of an apartment reported to police that they located a hole in their living room furniture that morning. The investigation revealed that earlier that morning, an occupant of a neighboring apartment, later identified as the accused, fired a round into the ceiling of his apartment that traveled through the victim’s floor and furniture before lodging into the ceiling of the apartment. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Charlie Jose CASTELLONOS, was arrested.

Commercial Burglary – On August 23 at 9:03AM, officers responded to Homestead Building System, Inc. located at 10109 Piper Ln. in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. An employee of the business reported to police that upon arriving at the business, a vehicle was missing. Video surveillance footage revealed that at approximately 7:42PM on August 21, an unknown masked man entered the business through a side door which was found unsecured. Several hours later, the suspect was observed entering a vehicle and a taking power tool before driving away. On August 23, officers received information that the vehicle was located in Fairfax County. Members of Fairfax County Police Department located a man, later determined to be the suspect, and detained him. Following the investigation, the suspect, identified as Shane Donovan STRAWDERMAN, was charged. While investigating, officers determined the suspect was driving on a revoked license.

Strong-Armed Robbery – On August 22 at 1:29PM, officers responded to Marumsco Plaza located in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 56-year-old woman, reported to police that while in the parking lot of the above location, an unknown man, later identified as the accused, approached her vehicle. The accused entered the victim’s vehicle and removed her purse. The victim attempted to retrieve her purse from the accused and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s wallet before getting into the passenger seat of a red-colored sedan and fleeing with an unknown driver. No injuries were reported. While investigating, officers identified the accused as Jonathan Donovan SMITH and obtained arrest warrants. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Abduction – On August 24 at 3:13PM, officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 14200 block of Caroline St. in Woodbridge (22191) on August 23. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, reported to police that a verbal altercation with an acquaintance, later identified as the accused, escalated when he prevented her from leaving the home. While being held in the home, the accused brandished a knife towards the victim and cut her multiple times. Also, during the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat on more than one occasion. On August 24, the victim was eventually able to obtain a phone and contact the police. Later that day, officers entered the home, where they located the accused and took him into custody. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused identified as 33-year-old man, Zachary Marcus JAMES was arrested.

Shooting Investigation – On August 26 at 6:40PM, officers responded to the 1600 block of Florida Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 19-year-old man, was driving on Maryland Ave. when he observed a man in the roadway walking towards him. As the victim continued to drive, he observed the man brandish a firearm before firing multiple rounds. The victim’s vehicle was struck with multiple rounds before he was able to leave the area. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries from the shattered glass of the vehicle and drove to a local hospital for treatment. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating the incident to determine what led up to the shooting. This incident does not appear to be random. Detectives continue to seek assistance from any witness to the incident. The investigation continues.

 

Brandishing | Road Rage Related – On August 25 at 1:00PM, officers responded to the area of Gordon Blvd. and Devils Reach Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a brandishing. The victim, a 35-year-old man, reported to police that he and the driver of a white box truck turned off I-95 onto Gordon Blvd. at approximately the same time. While both vehicles were stopped at the above intersection, the driver of the box truck brandished a firearm towards the victim. The driver of the box truck turned left onto Devils Reach Way while the victim continued to his destination, where he contacted the police. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

A black male, approximately 30 years of age, with a full beard and mustache

 

Indecent Exposure – On August 26 at 9:15AM, officers responded to the Walmart located at 9401 Liberia Ave. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, reported to police that while shopping, she observed an unknown man near her. A short time later, man had gotten closer to her while exposing himself and making inappropriate gestures. The victim confronted the suspect who immediately walked away. The victim pursued the suspect for a short distance while inside the store and then contacted store security. The suspect fled the area prior to police arriving at the location. At no point was there any physical contact between the victim and the suspect.

A white male, between 25-35 years of age, approximately 6’00”, between 155-165 lbs., with a thin build, light brown hair, and a goatee with mustache

Commercial Burglary – On August 26 at 8:42AM, officers responded to the Exxon located at 13594 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The store owner reported to police that they were notified at approximately 12:05AM of an alarm activation. The following morning, the owner determined entry was made into the business through the side window which was found damaged. Video surveillance footage revealed that after entering the business, an unknown man went into the office area and removed a cash register from the counter before leaving the business.

Commercial Burglary – On August 26 at 12:49AM, officers responded to the CVS located at 13600 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. Upon arrival, officers observed a side door was unsecured. Video surveillance footage revealed that an unknown male entered the business through the side door and proceeded through the store to the pharmacy area. The suspect was observed taking merchandise before leaving quickly when the alarm activated. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

Hunter

Malicious Wounding on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 24 at 9:21PM, officers responded to the intersection of Jefferson Davis Hwy. and Rosedale Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a two vehicle crash. Upon arriving at the location, officers observed a man suffering from injuries and identified him as the driver of one of the vehicles. The man, later identified as the accused, was treated at the scene by rescue personnel. While officers were interviewing the accused, they determined he was under the influence of alcohol. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he actively resisted and refused to follow officers commands. A struggle ensued where the accused pushed, pulled, and struck officers while attempting to flee. At one point, the accused elbowed an officer breaking his nose. Eventually, officers took the accused into custody without further incident. Two officers received medical treatment at a local hospital while the other officers reported minor injuries. The investigation into the crash revealed that while near the above intersection, the accused rear-ended another vehicle. During the investigation, officers also determined that the accused was driving without a valid license. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Justin Lamar HUNTER, was arrested.

Brandishing | Road Rage Related – On August 26 at 6:46PM, officers responded to the intersection of Sudley Manor Dr. and Williamson Blvd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a brandishing. The victim, a 30-year-old man, reported to police that after turning onto Sudley Manor Dr. from a parking lot, another vehicle pulled in front of their vehicle. The drivers continued to the above intersection where the driver of the other vehicle, later identified as the accused, brandished a firearm. The vehicles separated further down the road and the police were contacted. During the investigation, officers identified the accused. No shots were fired during the incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Michael Manuel SORIANO MORALES, was charged.

Abduction | Domestic Related *ARREST | Additional Incident – On August 30 at 1:58AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2700 block of Patrick Henry Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 24-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. When the victim attempted to separate from the accused, he grabbed her and scratched her. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and contacted the police. The investigation revealed that prior to leaving the residence, the accused retrieved a firearm. During the investigation, officers determined that the accused was actively wanted on charges from a previous incident in Prince William County. Following the investigation, officers obtained an additional arrest warrant for the accused, who at that point, was believed to be barricaded inside the home. A short time later, officers determined the accused was not inside the residence. Later that day, officers located the accused in the above area and took him into custody without further incident.

Armed Robbery – On August 28 at 7:43PM, officers responded to the Dollar & Gift Store located at 7630 Stream Walk Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. A store employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. During the encounter, the suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the register. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business prior to police arriving at the location. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

A Hispanic male, approximately 5’10, and 180lbs.

Attempted Rape – On August 29 at 10:21AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 8400 block of Rugby Rd. in Manassas (20111) earlier that morning. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 23- year-old woman, was asleep in her bedroom when a man she met that morning, later identified as the accused, damaged a window, and entered the home. While inside the residence, the accused went into the victim’s room where he then inappropriately touched her. As the accused was attempting to sexually assault the victim further, a family member intervened. The accused fled the residence before getting into a vehicle where he struck an unoccupied parked vehicle as he was driving away. Later that day, the accused, identified as Christian Argueta CHICAS, was located, and following the investigation the accused was arrested.

Christian Argueta CHICAS, 23, of 7530 Quail Run Ln. in Manassas

Charged with attempted rape, aggravated sexual battery, burglary with intent to commit rape, and hit and run
