The Department of Public Safety Communications received the Trailblazer award from RAVE Mobile Safety. This is related to 9-1-1 and emergency care. The department was named as one of three municipalities that are leading the pack in the U.S. with location accuracy for 9-1-1 callers in the event of an emergency and providing residents with the opportunity to register their profiles for a faster public safety response to emergencies where personal profiles have been completed.
